What are viruses?
Viruses small software programs which
purpose is to spread from a computer to another and to interfere the computer from operating properly. Viruses corrupt or delete data on computers or erase everything on a hard disk. It is usually spread by attachments in emails, IMs (instant messages) or downloads on Internet.
How do we get infected?
You might get affected by viruses by downloading music or movies, opening e-mail attachment from an anonymous user, from Instant Messaging such as msn, skype and etc. That is why you never open attachments that you are not expecting or if it’s from a person that you never heard of or simply don’t know.
Symptoms:
If you have these following events happening to you and your computer, there are high possibilities that your computer is infected by viruses so you might think of getting help from internet, or a professioner
Your computer happens to:
-run slower than usual
- stop responding or locks up frequently or restarts automatically
- crash or the computer applications do not operate correctly
- be inaccessible on disks or disk drives
- cannot print items correctly or weird error messages pop out frequently
- The attachments that you opened recently has a double extension such as a .jpg, .vbs, .gif or .exe.
- The antivirus doesn’t operate or is impossible to restart
How can you get rid of them?
Install anti-virus software on the computer
